My hands trembled. Tears swelled up in my eyes. And my throat vibrated as I sang…
Typically, these are not typical things I experience throughout the course of a wedding ceremony. Usually I am focused on my back pain from poor posture throughout the day, or I am focused on how heavy my 70-200 mm lens is.
But at Jeni and Steve’s wedding, I couldn’t help but join in on the worship that was occurring in the white chapel….
Unlike most of my clients, I have had the pleasure of knowing Jeni since we were kids. Like I mentioned in Jeni and Steve’s engagement session, every year we attended Haycock Camp for Father/Daughter weekends. I have fond memories of canoeing in the lake, dressing up for Saturday evening banquet, and staying up way past my bedtime. While we are both too old to attend now, unless we serve as staff, we have stayed connected through facebook.
Jeni and Steve live close to where I grew up, so I could not say no to shooting their VERY HOT August wedding! Despite the heat, everyone had amazing attitudes, and the day was so God-honoring. Throughout the years, I have gotten to experience some special weddings, but this one was one of my favorites.
From the beginning of the day to the end, it was so evident how much Jeni and Steve not only love each other, but also how much they love the Lord. And of course we had to make time for some very iconic shots at the Red Mill in Clinton, NJ! Thank you to the amazing bridal party for enduring the heat and sun for some epic shots!
Jeni and Steve, I am so excited for you as you begin this journey as husband and wife! Praying for you guys as you adjust to being husband and wife, and for Hannah as she adjusts to having a step-mom. I hope you cherish these photos for a lifetime!
